Hens
Almost ordinary hens – except their eggs are blue.
We also have almost ordinary hens. The only thing that sets them apart is the eggshell, which is blue. They joined us when we renovated an old henhouse at the estate and gave it a new life – of course it couldn't stay empty.
We ordered some hens and soon realised they would get along better with a rooster looking after them. Although they were less than a year old, one soon decided to become a mum and delighted us with chicks. The very next year, one of the hens hatched here became a mum to chicks herself. So there's never a dull moment in the henhouse.
