Irish Cob
Tilly
Our princess and the estate's therapy horse.
Tilly, an Irish Cob, is our princess. When I first saw her, I knew she was "my" horse. Gentle, loving and free. She spent her youth in a herd on the wide pastures of Ireland; after moving to Slovenia she had a foal and later briefly worked in a riding school.
She enjoys people's company but doesn't need it. She has good experiences with people and comes over curiously to see visitors. "Her" person means safety and support to her, so whenever she isn't sure whether danger lurks in the digger next door or in fireworks, she comes to us and calms down instantly.
As befits any horse with some white on it, her favourite thing is rolling in the mud. Even better is clowning around with her friend, Aurora the pony. Tilly is our therapy horse: we do ground-based therapy with all our horses, and Tilly is being trained as a fully schooled horse for mounted therapy.
